Lacy Oak Quercus glaucoides

This is a great medium-size tree excellent landscaping. It develops a great shape and grows to around 25 feet tall and 20 feet wide. The leaves are bluish- green in color. Once established, the tree has good heat and drought tolerance and performs well. The moderate mature size makes it a good choice for an urban landscape. Unlike other dense trees, it won't shade out all your undergrowth and other plants.

Live Oak Quercus virginiana

A massive shade tree with dense foliage that is bright olive-green when new and changes to a glossy, dark green when mature. It has a height of 30 to 40 feet and width of 40 to 60 feet. An evergreen member of the oak family, it is cold and drought hardy.  A magnificent shade tree with large, wide-spreading, horizontal branches.

Magnolia Magnolia grandiflora

The large, lustrous, evergreen foliage makes the Magnolia a desirable ornamental plant. The magnificent, fragrant, waxy white flowers are 6" to 12" in diameter and contrast with the large, glossy, bright green evergreen leaves. The crown is dense and pyramidal in youth, becoming more rounded with age.  It has a height from 60 to 80 feet and width from 30 to 50 feet. Easy to maintain. Tolerates heat, prefers moist soil. It makes a nice shade plant.

Mesquite Prosopis pallida

This aromatic tree is probably one of the most drought-resistant trees. It is a thorny legume-bearing tree or shrub that survives well in dry environments, due to an extremely long taproot. It grows quickly, makes a good shade tree, and can be used to prevent erosion. It grows to a height from 20 to 40 feet and bears long, edible bean pods. The flowers are yellow, blooming in early spring. It has irregular growth, easily trained to suit your growth preferences. It can withstand regular pruning and has dimensionally, the most stable wood on Earth.

Mexican Fan Palm Washingtonia robusta

This is a large, fast growing palm tree that can grow to a height of 60 to 100 feet. The leaves are some of the largest of any palm species. The ‘branches' are usually from 10 to 15 feet long, the stems having gold ‘teeth’. It is very tolerant of drought and adverse conditions. It is a superb accent tree for tropical landscape themes.

Mexican Plum Prunus mexicana

This is a nice, single-trunked small to medium tree that is quite beautiful. Early in the spring it is covered with clouds of white flowers. At this time, the scent is strong and sweet. As the blooms fade, they become pale pink. It produces edible dark red or purple fruit. The leaves turn a nice yellow to orange color in the fall. It grows to a height from 20 to 40 feet and width from 15 to 25 feet. It is well suited for residential landscapes and is adaptable to many soil types. It makes an ideal tree for planting in urban settings, such as near power lines, due to its small size.
